The reintroduction of the Toric line of watches in 2024 includes the new manual winding movement, PF 780, that features movement bridges crafted in gold. The bridges are decorated in a "Cotes de Fleurier" motif. The guilloche pattern is created by interse

Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos.

And I completely agree with you concerning the pleasure of the manual winding ritual. I also like the fact that manual winding allows you to keep the watch ticking without having to wear (you can wear another watch and just keep winding the perpetual cale

Thanks for the comment ArmisT.

When I had the Toric QP on my wrist, I don't recall having the sensation of struggling to read the subdials. Of course things were moving fairly quickly and I was carrying on multiple conversations simultaneously so I can't say with certainty that I focus

Well said!

The hour and the minute display is front and center for reading time at a glance. The perpetual calendar information is secondary and in the background which allows the gorgeous color and graining of the dial to be the star of the show. Thank you for chec

Toric Tuesday - the new Toric Perpetual Calendar

For a brand still in its youth, Parmigiani has a long association with the perpetual calendar complication. The early years from c. 2000 featured the complication in the Toric line with retrograde date, moon phase, and apertures for day and month located

The design language of the new Torics . . . .

. . . . both the Petite Seconde and Perpetual Calendar, is minimalist. The brand talks of purity and readability. I like the look but, as always, it’s not for everyone. I’ll try to get multiple photos from every angle so you can thoroughly evaluate the wa
